KBF is currently seeking a Senior Associate to join our Audit & Advisory Services team.
The KBF Audit & Advisory team provides professionals with the opportunity to work on a variety of projects throughout the year to help build invaluable skills and experience. The group’s collaborative, fast-paced, and dynamic environment offers professionals the opportunity to work with both high-caliber team members and top-tier clients while maintaining a small-firm atmosphere.
Responsibilities
Execute the day-to-day activities of audit engagement by reviewing, analyzing, and testing financial data to gain a comprehensive understanding of the client’s internal processes, transactions, and accounting practices to ensure they align with relevant auditing standards, regulations, and legal requirements.
Communicate with clients to develop and maintain strong client relationships and ensure the efficient information flow from the client to the audit team.
Proactively manage project deadlines of audit work performed to ensure delivery of work products based on client expectations and deadlines while ensuring it aligns with auditing standards.
Help develop and supervise Audit Associates and Interns on engagements by providing coaching, timely feedback, and reviewing their audit documentation.
Openly collaborate with partners, managers, and teams about status, audit findings, timeline, issues, tasks, and associated budgets.
Stay up to date with current auditing standards, accounting principles, and industry-specific knowledge.
Review and analyze audit engagements by using various auditing tools and software.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university is required.
Must have completed the necessary academic credit hours to sit for the CPA exam.
Minimum of two years of audit experience in an associate-level position (or equivalent experience).
Applied working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and accounting processes.
Demonstrated supervisory experience and proven ability to oversee engagements to meet statutory and client deadlines.
Individuals must be eligible to work in the U.S.
